IT IS IMPORTANT IN PROTECTING THE RIGHTS OF THIRD WORLD PRODUCERSFINANCIAL AID - GIVING MONEY TO AN ORGANISATION OR GOVERNMENT TO HELP WITH THEIR DEVELOPMENTGROSS NATIONAL PRODUCT (GNP) - A MEASURE OF HOW MUCH MONEY A COUNTRY HAS. THIS IS AN ESTIMATE OF THE AVERAGE WAGE AND IS CALCULATED BY DIVIDING GNP BY THE TOTAL POPULATION. THIS IS AN INDICATOR OF WEALTHHUMANITARIAN AID - PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR A COUNTRY OR AREA TO HELP WITH ITS DEVELOPMENT. FOR EXAMPLE, FOOD PARCELS, TRAINING, MEDICAL HELPLIFE EXPECTANCY - HOW LONG ON AVERAGE A PERSON CAN EXPECT TO LIVE IN A GIVEN AREA. THIS IS AN INDICATOR OF THE QUALITY OF HEALTHCARENATIONAL DEBT - THE AMOUNT OF MONEY OWED BY ONE COUNTRY TO ANOTHER, OR TO THE WORLD BANK. A LARGE NATIONAL DEBT CAN TRAP A COUNTRY IN POVERTYPOVERTY - WHEN A PERSON OR COUNTRY DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO PROVIDE FOR ITS BASIC NEEDS, SUCH AS FOOD, SAFE SHELTER, HEALTHCARE OR EDUCATION
