There's a mistaken sense that capital letters are hard to read than those mixed in or lower case.Reading isn't fluid as it seems, although we have the impression that our eyes are moving smoothly. In reality our eyes move in quick, sharp jumps with short periods of stillness in between. These jumps are called saccades.During the saccades we can't effectively see anything. The movements are so fast that we can't even realize they are happening.

Are capital letters really harder to read?We read capital letters more slowly because we don't see them as often. Most of what we read is in mixed case, so we are used to it.

CAPITAL LETTERS ARE NOT HARD TO READ.
