                                  • Cross promote on other platforms. If you’re already using other social media platforms you should promote your new Instagram account to your existing audience. You may even share some of your Instagram posts to give your followers a taste of what they can expect from your new account. Be sure not to overshare. You don’t want to bombard your network with the same images over and over again. Keep them interacting on Instagram by keeping most of your content exclusive. However, if there’s something highly relevant to your entire audience you can share directly to Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or Flickr right inside Instagram. It’s also helpful to announce your new account in a newsletter to your email list.

                                • Run a giveaway. Giveaways work to grow your account if you follow a few guidelines. Always offer a prize that your ideal customer would absolutely love to receive. Keep the mode of entry level with the offer. If you’re only offering something small, less people are likely to take action to enter. So make sure you’re not requiring people to do anything complicated. Simply asking people to like the post and tag 3 friends in a comment is perfect for the average giveaway. accounts.

                                  Annotations:

                                  • Whenever you direct your Instagram visitors to your website, make sure you are sending them to a landing page customized just for them. In your page copy, be sure to recognize and acknowledge that your visitors are from Instagram (for instance, “A warm welcome to my new Instagram followers”). The most importance aspect of this page will be your opt-in incentive. Make sure the page includes a compelling offer that will entice them toSIGN UP for your list; this could be a free eBook, infographic or anything else that would make them want to hand over their email address. For instance, as a graphic designer, you might say: SIGN UP now and I’ll tell you my secret to creating amazing graphics using only free tools!”. Annotations:

                                    •  Take photos of gated content and share them on Instagram. If you offer ‘gated’ content on your site – for instance white papers, eBooks or a members-only section – take screenshots and share them on your Instagram account. This can pique the interest of your followers, and give them a taste of what they can get simply by joining your list. Not only can coupons drive traffic and sales, they can help build your email list. If email opt-ins are your goal, be sure to make joining your list a condition of receiving the coupon code. In my experience, in order for this to work, you need to offer a BIG discount: people aren’t usually going to click through to your site and hand over their email for a 5-10% discount! http://mainsitepullzone.boomsocial1.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Instagram-Coupon.png

Instead, leave a comment stating what you like about their photo Of the people he simply followed, 14% followed him back.Of the people he followed and ‘liked’, 22% followed him back.Of the people he followed and ‘commented’ on, 34% followed him back.Seek out other businesses in your niche, ‘follow their followers’ and then start interacting with their pictures and videos!   follow back the users who regularly interact with your content, and, more importantly, are your ideal prospect.  Add a shorted version of your URL when you leave comments. While links in Instagram comments are not live (hyperlinked), they are a live link when you share the same photo on Facebook and Twitter for example. This may help drive additional engagement and traffic.Just remember to keep your comments on point, relevant and engaging (i.e. no spam!). following a minimum of 200 people  When you’re first starting out spend 20 minutes a day simply engaging with others. You can reach out to leaders in your industry, offer special coupons or promotions, or even send a simple thank you message. In any case make sure you’re never asking anything outlandish or spammy. Keep things authentic.
                                  1. Suggested users

                                    Annotations:

                                    • Instagram also has a feature called “Suggested Users.” Follow your suggested users by selecting “Find Friends” and then “Suggested Users.” Following users that have similar interests as you may encourage them to follow you in return.

You can use up to 30 on each post but it’s best to stick with 6-12 at a time. You’ll also want to choose at least one hashtag that is unique to your business. Start tagging your own pictures with it and promote it in your bio. This creates a hashtag hub. As your account grows your followers might share your content to their own accounts and use your unique hashtag.
                                  1. Use Geo tag

                                    Annotations:

                                    • Geotagging (adding your location to your image) is a great feature for locally-based business. • Pull compelling quotes from your blog posts. One of the primary ways you’ll generate traffic from your tweets is by sharing links to your blog posts. I see many people simply tweeting out the title of their latest blog post along with a link…and while this can work (I use this strategy myself sometimes), tweeting out a compelling quote or excerpt from your post can often be more effective.

                                          1. Tweet out a content teaser

                                            Annotations:

                                            • Rather than simply sharing the name of your blog post, try being a little bit mysterious. For instance, to promote this current blog post, I could tweet out: 9 Twitter marketing ideas that drive more traffic to your site:  bit.ly/124hs OR, I could tweet: Find out which type of tweet increases clicks by 13% or more! Which one sounds more relevant and enticing?

                                                          • Another great way to find relevant conversations to contribute to is to search for hashtags about your competitors. For instance, if someone tweeted that they were unhappy with a service being provided, you could respond that you are sorry about their experience, and you are happy to offer a free consultation. You don’t want to become known as someone who ‘poaches’ other people’s clients, but there’s nothing wrong with building connections by offering helpful advice and an opportunity for a better experience!
                                                          1. Twitter chats

These chats can help you connect with your target market, and can help establish you as an industry expert. You may even want to host your own Twitter chat in order to build deeper connections with your current customer base. For added visibility, you may want to consider sponsoring an industry chat; for instance, having your logo and URL displayed on the chat page or having your business mentioned by the host.  http://twubs.com/ http://pegfitzpatrick.com/how-to-rock-a-twitter-chat/

Lead generation cards, like all Twitter cards, allow you to add richer and more detailed information to your tweets. With lead generation cards, when someone clicks to expand your tweets, they’ll not only see your offer (a product, e-book, webinar, etc.), but they’ll be able to respond to your call to action with one click of the button. Their name and contact info will automatically be submitted, increasing the chances that they’ll actually submit the form. http://kimgarst.com/9-easy-ways-generate-twitter-leads https://blog.twitter.com/2013/capture-user-interest-with-the-lead-generation-card
