    WHAT - -'Nouthetic' counselling (Founder: Jay Adams)- Problems are caused by sin or a medical cause- You cannot counsel unbelieversWHERE- Counselling comes from the scriptures-HOW- Those problems are caused by sins of omission or commission (being sinful, or being sinned against)- Lovingly confronting people out of 'deep concern' in order to help them make changes that God requiresBELIEFS- All that is needed is scripture for Godly counsel- Any attempt to integrate psychology and scripture is considered a 'psycho-heresy' (false religious system) according to Deidre & Martin Bobgan.
    STRENGTHS- Offers practical redemptive examples of living with fullness- Describes & Explains the human condition- Provides a framework for livingWEAKNESSES - Doesn't give detailed insight into how people work and how intentional conversations ought to proceed (pg.145)-
