While the fight over the body is going on, Hector attempts [blank_start]to capture Achilles' horses[blank_end], but [blank_start]they escape back to the Achaian camp[blank_end].

The Homeric Greeks believed that one's soul could not enter the afterworld unless the proper burial rites had been carried out — in this case, cremation and burial of the ashes under a barrow. The battle that takes place over [blank_start]the body of Patroklos[blank_end] is due to this belief.
