the more pixels there are in an image, the more blurry it is and the less detail it has.
each pixel is represented as 0 or 1.

2. having a value of 0 means a pixels colour is off, whilst having a value of 255 means the colour is fully on.

    1. pixels can also be represented by hex values such as FFFFFF for white and 000000 for black
