The White Devil and Paradise Lost - Vittoria and Eve
  1. Milton and God blame Eve for the fall of man, Satan manages to escape with no punishment, similarly to Brachiano. This is comparable to how Vittoria is blamed for the murder of Camillo and Isabella, even it is the men who actually instigate the murders of Camillo and Isabella and yet they escape without blame or consequences.
    1. Both Eve and Vittoria are untrusted due to their gender. Adam says: "Thus it shall befall him to worth in women overtrusting." and a quote in The White Devil states that "Women are like cursed dogs: Civility keeps them tied all daytime, but they are let loose at midnight; then they do most good or most mischeif"
