Retinal Ganglion Cells A neuron located near the inner surface of the retina in the eye. Receives visual information from photoreceptors.
Subcutaneous Mechanoreceptors Sensory receptor underneath the skin.
Thalamus Large mass of grey matter in the dorsal part of the brain. Relays motor signals to the cerebral cortex, also regulates alertness, sleep and consciousness.
Primary Auditory Cortex Part of the temporal lobe that processes auditory information.
Prosopagnosia The cognitive disorder of face perception, where the ability to recognise faces is impaired, AKA "facial blindness".
