Identifying Windows Operating System Editions The following are the six main editions of Windows 7: • Windows 7 Starter • Windows 7 Home Basic • Windows 7 Home Premium* • Windows 7 Professional * • Windows 7 Enterprise  • Windows 7 Ultimate **Avaible for retail sector Every edition contains the same integrated applications, such as Network and Sharing Center, Control Panel, and Windows Media Player. The different editions also include many of the same multimedia features. All editions support 32-bit systems, and all editions except Windows 7 Starter support 64-bit systems. Of the six editions, only Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate are widely available in the retail sector. The other editions are designed for certain types of computers or markets, or specifically for enterprise use.
