Small scale subsistence farmingPhilippines is a group of 7000 islands in the Pacific Ocean. Maximo Casinedo owns the Barangay Busay farm. He's had the farm land since 1996 because of the land reform act. Inputs Relief (Flat, 70m above sea level) Soil (Fertile Clay loams) Climate (average temperature of 25C) Rainfall (1800mm rainfall)  Crops (maize, vegetables and cassava) High Labour (seven children and himself) Machines (rice thresher) Water buffalo (hired and paid for) Chemicals (Fertilisers, high input) Diesel for Rice thresher Outputs520 cavans of rice per year and maize Most of the outputs are for the family but the surplus can be sold.
