Starts to think about
killing the King when he is
speaking to the Witches.
Macbeth says, "My thought,
whose murder yet is but
fantastical".

Macbeth is seen as a
noble and a hero by the
Captain and King Duncan
for his efforts.
King Duncan says "O
valiant cousin,
worthy gentleman."
Act 1 Scene 5
Macbeth comes back to
Lady Macbeth after
visiting the king. She acts
as if she is proud of him.
Lady Macbeth says
"Great Glamis, Worthy
Cawdor".
Act 1 Scene 7
Lady Macbeth still wants
to kill King Duncan but
Macbeth does not want
to! She uses her
manipulative powers to
change his mind.
Macbeth says,
"We will
proceed no
further in this
business".
Act 2 Scene 1
Macbeth bumps into
Banquo and Fleance in
the night and Banquo
says he has been
thinking about the
witches, Macbeth lies
and says he hasn't.
Banquo says "I dreamt
last night of the weird
sisters" Macbeth says
"I think not of them"
Act 2 Scene 2
Macbeth has just killed in
the King in this scene.
Becomes weak and starts
thinking about the
downsides of killing the
king.
Macbeth says, "This is a sorry
sight" looking at this hands.
"I have done the deed. Didst
thou not hear a noise?
Act 2 Scene 3
A porter tells Macbeth that Macduff
is at the door and has come to wake
King Duncan. Macbeth becomes calm
again and welcomes him to the
castle. He finds King Duncan Dead.
Macduff says, "O
Horror,Horror,Horror.
Macbeth says, "Whats
the Matter? Calmly.
Act 3 Scene 4
Macbeth sees Banquo's ghost
after he has murdered him
and breaks down.
Macbeth says,
Avaunt, and quit my
sight! Let the search
hide thee!"
