- Anticyclones form over Anticyclones and
move towards east of UK
- 1) Air is falling which causes high pressure and soft winds
- 2) Falling air gets warmer so no clouds or rain for weeks even months
- 3) In summer anticyclones create long periods of clear warm skies. No clouds mean temperatures rise fast.
- 4) In winter anticyclones create long periods of clear frosty skies. No clouds mean temperatures drop fast at night.
