  1. Locomotion- Self-Propelled movement.
    1. Action- language of locomotion to describe movement
      1. Pathway- Language of locomotion to describe the direction of a movement
        1. Level- Language of locomotion used to describe the height that a movement takes place
          1. Effort- Language of Locomotion used to describe the intensity of a movement
            1. Speed- Language of Locomotion used to describe the quickness of a movement
              1. Sequence- Arrangement of a number of gymnastic techniques performed in succession
                1. Balance- Ability to retain a centre of mass over a base of support
                  1. Arabesque- One point (foot) balance
                    1. V-Sit- One patch (bum) balance
                      1. Shoulder Stand- 3 patch (shoulder; arms x2) balance
                        1. Dish- One patch (back) balance
                          1. Rotation- The movement of the body around an axis
                            1. Longitudinal- The axis that runs down through the top of our head (pencil roll)
                              1. Transverse- The axis that runs through the side of your body at the hip (forward roll)
                                1. Medial- The axis that runs through the centre of the body belly button (cartwheel)
                                  1. Flight When you are not in contact with the floor for a period of time
                                    1. Hurdle-Step- Technique used for take off when using a spring bored or trampette in gymnastics
                                      1. Aesthetically- Perform a skill/technique or sentence in a pleasing manner which is good to look at.
