  •     Intrinsic motivation  is an autonomous type of motivation,  which  mainly consists  in   engaging in an activity for its own sake, for  the pleasure and satisfaction derived from participating in it       intrinsic motivation is directly  related to the students' academic achievements. The more intrinsic motivation they have, the more persistent and cognitively involved they become, in their school activities, and experience good grades. The absence of  the father figure in Cortez and Crystal's lives, led to the absence of enjoyment of school learning, which resulted in a communication disorder, in reading, writing, problem solving, reasoning, vocabulary and math.  Both Cortez and Crystal do not feel the impetus or inspiration to do well at school, something parents contribute in establishing. They are not engaged in focused, elaborated talk with their fathers about what subject  they like, what hobby they enjoy doing the most, which story or narrative they wish they can read together, to enlarge their vocabularies and widen their experiences, what is appropriate and inappropriate in the language they use to interact  with their peers, mothers, teachers. .So many responsibilities that the mother cannot take on her ownThey lack the parental encouragement  of their intrinsic motivation and task endogeny.
