what is radiation? The emission of energy or particles through space or a medium.
Describe how radioactivity was discovered? Henri bexquerel discovered radioactivity when observing uranium salts.
Why is radiation harmful to both living and nonliving things? Radiation can damage DNA in living things and can alter nonliving things yo make them harmful.
Identify three uses of radiation? Medical, Industrial and power.
Assume that an isotope has 83 proton and 83 neutron. Is it radioactive? why or why not? The isotope is stable because of the ratio of protons and neutrons.
What is radioactive decay? The spontaneous breakdown of atomic nuclei.
