What is slope and how do you find it? Slope is the rate of change between wo points on a line. ( slope = steepness of a line). To find slope of a line find the ratio of the change in y to the change in x. (Δy/Δx) the y-axis on the vertical line and the x-axis on the horizontal.
Types of slope positive (uphill) negative (downhill) zero (horizontal) undefined (vertical)
Y-intercept They-intercept is indicated with the variable b. The value for x is zero meaning only the y has a value. the y-intercept can be found were the line crosses over the y-axis.
