In a presentation, it's more efficient if you can comprise anecdotes instead of just talking about data. Anecdotes are stories. When we listen to stories, we have empathy with what we hear. Empathy sparks emotional reactions.  When emotions come, we easily forget that information is coming. In other words, we unconsciously forget that we are listening to a presentation. Thus, a presentation includes anecdotes that are more effective and persuasive.
