THE DESIGN ARGUMENTB) Do you think the universe is deigned? give two reasons for your point of view (4 marks)I do think the universe has been designed because design is the result of intelligent thought. The universe shows evidence of being designed (e.g. gravity, ozone layer). this suggests that a being with intelligence designed the universe and the universe is too complex to have happened by chance or be designed by any other being other than God, for example Paley's watch theory, which supported the design argument  and therefore this is why I think that the universe is designed. However, I don't think the universe has been designed because the world can be explained scientifically, with better evidence, which makes me question why, if the world can be designed, why does natural evil exist. This means that we cannot possibly prove God's existence and power to suggest he is the designer, and therefore this is why i think that the universe hasn't been designed, but the universe is actually the result of evolution.

THE CAUSATION ARGUMENTB) Do you think that God is the cause for the universe? (4 marks)I do think that God is the cause of the universe because, nothing happens by itself so, everything that happens must be caused by something else. This means that the universe cannot have happened by itself and a powerful cause was necessary to cause the universe, and this cause has to be God and therefore this is why I think that God is the cause for the universe. However, I don't think God caused the universe because the causation argument cannot be proved, and even if everything in the universe seems to have a cause, it doesn't mean the universe had a cause and this argument only suggests that God is the cause of the universe, and there are other powerful causes of the universe such as the scientific Big Bang Theory, and if everything had a cause, what caused God, and therefore this is why I don't think that God is the cause of the universe.
