Respiration
Aerobic Respiration
Breathing is necessary for respiration
This is because areobic respiration uses oxygen
Aerobic respiration is a chenical reaction that breaks down glucose from food using oxygen
Glucose + Oxygen Carbon dioxide + Water (+ Energy)
Anaerobic Respiration
It does not use oxygen
Word Equation
glucose → lactic acid (+ energy)
It happens when there is not enough oxygen for aerobic respiration
Much less energy is released by anaerobic respiration than by aerobic respiration
Respiration takes place in the cytoplasm of cells
Respiration takes place in every living being
