2. Red Blood Cell

    1. Carry Oxygen around the body

    1. No nucleus, and it has a large surface area
3. Nerve Cell (Neuron)

    1. Transmit and store information
  2. Adaptation
    1. They have many connecting branches
4. White Blood Cell
  1. Function
    1. Engulf and destroy bacteria
  2. Adaptation
    1. Their cytoplasms can flow, so they can move around more easily
5. Ciliated Windpipe Cell
  1. Function
    1. Keep the trachea (throat) clear of things like dust
  2. Adaptation
    1. They have tiny hairs that move from side to side to brush dust away
6. Sperm Cell
  1. Function
    1. To fertilise egg cells
  2. Adaptation
    1. Has a powerful tail and is streamlined
Plant Cells

  1. Nucleus
    1. Control centre of a cell
  2. Cytoplasm
    1. Liquid where chemical reactions happen
  3. Cell Membrane
    1. Surrounds the cell and controls what can enter and leave it
  4. Chloroplast
    1. Contains the chemicals required for chemical reactions.
  5. Vacuole
    1. Full of sap
  6. Cell Wall
    1. Supports the cell
Animal Cells

    1. Control centre of the cell
  2. Cytoplasm
    1. Liquid where chemical reactions take place
  3. Cell Membrane
    1. Surrounds the cell and controls what goes in and out.
