Online data capture
  1. Before adding data to a database it needs to be collected this can be done with a DATA CAPTURE FORM
    1. DCFs use boxes or spaces to collect data
      1. Data can be entered as a code like Y or N
        1. Codes are used because they are easier to enter and validate
          1. Design of the online form is important to get the right data and to make it easy to enter
            1. All collected personal data need to be treated in line with the DPA (1998) FAST REST
              1. Once saved, the data is stored on a database TABLE
                1. Data validation will ensure correct data is entered e.g. number fields will not accept letters and will create an 'error message'
