   1. Resources that have been built up, or evolved over time.
   2. Also known as stock resources
   3. These types of energy resources have a 'reserve' and cannot be used without depleting the stock, due to formation being slow
   4. Examples of this type of energy include
      1. Oil
      2. Coal
      3. Gas
2. Renewable energy resources
   1. Also known as flow/stock resources
   2. Resources that have a natural rate of avalibility
   3. These sources of energy yield a continuous flow, that can be consumed at anytime
   4. Renewable energy are spilt into 2 different areas
      1. Critical
         1. Sustainable energy resources which require management.
         2. e.g. Forests, plants, animal waste
      2. Non-critical
         1. Everlasting resources
         2. e.g. Tides, Waves, Wind, Solar energy
