Reducción del número de linfocitos T-CD4 <200
Afecta a las células mieloides (Macrófagos, cel. dendríticas y cel. de la microglia)
VÍAS DE TRANSMICIÓN
Contacto con sangre de una persona infectada.
Vía parental.
Vía sexual.
Vía vertical.
POBLACIÓN PREVALENTE
Personas sexualmente activas.
Drogadictos.
Recién nacidos de madres contagiadas.
Personas que practican el sexo anal.
DIAGNÓSTICO
ELISA: Para anticuerpos antivíricos.
EIA: Detecta anticuerpos P24
TRATAMIENTO
Tratamiento atirretrovírico de gran actividad (TARGA)
Se administra un mínimo de 3 fármacos antirretrovíricos.
MEDIDAS DE PREVENCIÓN
Utilizar condón en el sexo oral y genital.
Evitar el contacto con sangre.
Profilaxis de preexposición y posexposición
MEDIDAS DE CONTROL
Análisis de las donaciones de sangre.
Circuncisión
Programas de prevención.
FASES
Estadio inicial:
Se produce disfunción de la flora intestinal.
Los macrófagos, los linfocitos T de memoria y las células pluripotenciales hematopoyéticas se infectan.
<2000 a 750 L.T CD4
Fase aguda:
Los virus se replican en los ganglios linfáticos, siguen disminuyendo los linfocitos T- CD4
Fase más avanzada:
Aumentan los virus en sangre.
El paciente queda inmunosuprimido.
<100 L. T- CD4
Anomalías neurológicas
Fase tardía
Se muta el gen env.
<500 a 200
