Question Answer
What is an input device? An input device is a device that accepts data and sends it to the computer. The device has to convert the data into a binary form (1's and 0's) in order for it to be in the right format for the computer to accept.
Manual input Small amounts of data that are put in by hand (e.g. keyboard, mouse, controller, digital camera.)
Direct input Large amounts of data that are automatically put in without a human operator (e.g. chip and pin devices, sensors, barcode readers.)
