What does the 8th amendment do? Prohibits excessive bail and fines, or cruel and unusual punishment
What does the 9th amendment do? Says we have more rights than are listed in the Constitution.
What amendment reserves to the States all the powers that are explicitly not denied them by the constitution? tenth amendment
What does freedom of religion entail? Congress cannot respect an establishment of religion or infringe on the free exercise of religion.
Why would people petition the government? To have their complaints and grievances answered.
