  • Superlative Adjectives
  • This type of adjectives are used when we want to express the highest degree of certain quality.
  • Short adjectives
  • Long adjectives
  • We make the superlative form of short adjectives when we add the letters "est" to the end of the word. When the adjective has a short vowel we have to double the consonant and add the letters "est" to the end of the adjective. We must also definite the article "the" before to the adjective.
  • To make the superlative form in adjectives of two or more syllables, we add the words "the most" to the beginning of the adjective. We can also use the opposite of "the most", in that case it will be "the least" before the adjective. If the adjective end with "y" these letter it's replacing with the letter "i" and the suffix "estS to the end of the word. We can also help us with "the most" before the adjective if it ends with the letter "y".
