When a comparative adjective is used?
We normally use a comparative adjective when we want to make a comparison between two people or objects.
Short adjectives
Long adjectives
When we use short adjectives, we add the letters "er" at the end of the word to make a comparison.
Also we change the letter "y" for the letter "i" if necessary.
When the adjective has a single vowel and it ends with a consonant letter the latter is added once more.
When we use long adjectives we use more words to make a comparison, for example "more".
