The top bun is the first sentence of the extended response. This sentence is called the topic sentence and introduces the main idea. It also relates to the question.

This is body, the main paragraphs, the meat. These should include, T.E.E the TECHNIQUE, an EXAMPLE and the EFFECT on the reader. There should be at least 3 main paragraphs in the extended response.

The bottom bun is the last sentence of the extended response. This is called a concluding sentence. It should reinforce/summeries the main idea or topic.
