Best BuysMany products are sold in different sized boxes. For example, a supermarket may have different sized boxes of cornflakes. It's important to be able to work out which is the best value for money.ExampleThe same brand of cornflakes is sold in three different sized packets. Which packet represents the best value for money?500g is £1.69; 1g costs 169p / 500= 0.338p750g is £2.13; 1g costs 213p / 750= 0.284p1kg is £2.59; 1g costs 259p / 1000= 0.259pSince the 1kg packet costs less per gram it is the best value for money.(An alternative method for this example would be to work out the cost of 250g.)
