Computers can check that entered data complies with domain Semantic error checking - Check possible and plausible minimal and maximal values, and check possibility and plausibility of entered data in relation to already entered data On-line Help

Data Processing: Data Sorting - computers can order and sort data in many ways: numeric, alpha numeric, alpha, etc.. Data Storage - usually in group containers and related items - i.e. in databases,  Data retrievable - usually with query languages Computations - mathematical manipulations are describe by algorithms that are incorporated into programs Data  Transformations - allows user interaction with data for optimal interpretation Data Presentation -
