Birth to 1 month (Gross development) When they focus on head control  Prone  Physiological flexion  Able to lift head for a short time  Able to move head side to side  Supine  Physiological flexion Somewhat able to roll side to side  Sitting  Head lag when being pulled to sit  Needs support to sit  Standing  If standing or walking it is base on reflex NOT control  2 to 3 months (Gross development) Prone  Life head to 90 degrees for a short time.  Chest up in prone with some weight through UE's  Able to roll prone to supine  Supine ATNR is strong  Asymmetric tonic neck reflex  When the head turns the arm it is looking at extends and so does the leg  The opposite arm and leg are in flexion  Kicking of legs  Head side to side movements  Sitting  Still head lag  Still needs support to sit  Standing  Still reflex base but can WB poorly though  4 to 5 months (Gross development) Prone  Able to WB on extend elbows Pivots for movement such as to reach toys  Supine  Able to roll from supine to sidelying  Able to put feet in mouth  Sitting  Stable head and is able to do sitting by themselves for a short time  Learning to turn head  Standing  Able to WB but only through legs with support  6 to 7 months (Gross development)  Prone  Able to roll from supine to prone as well  Able to be prone on elbows with one UE while reaching with the other  Supine  Able to lift head and have control  Sitting  Able to sitting independently with UE support  Mobility  Able to crawl backwards  8 to 9 months (Gross development) Prone  Able to get into hands knee position (kneeling with UE support)  Supine Doesn't want to be in this position anymore  Sitting  Able to go from prone to sit  Able to sit without UE's support  Pivots in this position  Mobility  Crawling or cruising (walking along furniture)   11 months (Gross development) Standing  Stands without support  Able to pick up objects with support  Uses half-kneel position to get into standing now  Mobility  Walks with 1 or 2 hands  Or bear walks  12 to 15 months (Gross development) Able to walk without support 16 to 24 months (Gross development) Walking up.down stairs with support  Kick and throw balls without falling  2 years (Gross development) Rides a tricycle  Running  Walking up/down stairs without support
