  1. Virus

    Annotations:

    • A software program that is capable of reproducing itself and usually capable of creating harm to files or other programs on the same computer. A true virus cannot spread without human interaction. 
    1. Spyware

      Annotations:

      • Computer software that contains information from a users without the users knowledge or consent. 
      1. Adware

        Annotations:

        • A software application that includes advertising, which are displayed while the software is running. Developers use adware as a source of income and to keep the cost of the software down(usually makes it free). Some adware programs can include spyware.
        1. Trojan

          Annotations:

          • A program that appears desirable but actually contains something harmful.
          1. Key Logger

            Annotations:

            • These are programs that run in the background on your computer are capable of recording every key stroke you make on your key board.Key loggers can steal personal details and passwords that can later be retrieved by a third party.
            1. Worm

              Annotations:

              • A software program capable of reproducing itself that can spread from one computer to the next over a network. worms take advantage of automatic file sending and receiving features found on many computers.

                    1. 3. Change your password regularly
