PET reading
- Introduction:It is very important to understand the different parts of
reading work, what you must do, how to prepare and of course the best
tips and tricks so that you can easily pass the exam.
- Option multiple choice- Part 1: In this part you have
a little description that are notices or messages ,
and you have multiple options to said the same that
in the original description or the objective of the
description, but in another words.
- Matching: In this part you have some descriptions of
different people, and you have to matching with any of
the long descriptions, that say something relate to the
little descripcion of the person. There are five people,
and eight long descriptions that have to match.
- Option multiple choice- Part 3: In this part you
read a longer text,and you have a multiple
choices for each question ,there'll be five
questions.
- Gappeed Text- Part 4: This part will be more
difficult, five sentences will removed so, you'll
have to choose a posible answer ,from A-H.
- Open Cloze- Part 6: careful thought should be given to
the answer as it is similar but not the same as the
previous point since in this one you do not have the
option to choose an answer.
- Option multiple choice cloze- Part 5: In this part you
have to fill in the spaces that they ask you with the
answer options that they give you to be able to
connect the text correctly.
- Option multiple choice- Part 1: In this part you have
a little description that are notices or messages ,
and you have multiple options to said the same that
in the original description or the objective of the

- Don’t get stressed: To accommodate this short time, you must learn the
proper strategies and techniques to be efficient and effective when you
pass the PET reading exam. You have six tasks and a total of thirty-two
questions to answer, and you only have forty-five minutes to complete all
the tasks.
- Strategies for PET Reading
- Think about the order of the tasks: In B1 Preliminary, you don't
need to start with Part 1 and then take the exam the way you
find it on paper. In fact, you can decide which order you prefer,
which means that you can choose the perfect strategy for you.
- Think about your timing: You only have 45 minutes to complete all
the tasks on the reading test. This time frame includes a few
minutes to transfer your answers to a separate answer sheet,
giving you approximately 40 minutes to complete all six tasks. Take
a moment to see which tasks take the most time and which tasks
can be completed faster.
