CONPRENHENSION APPROACH
  1. DEFINITION
    1. It is a teaching method based on the coordination of speech and actions. Students will learn by repeating but also understanding what they are doing at the moment.
      1. "Total Physical Response is linked to the "trace theory” of memory in psychology, which holds that the more often or the more intensively a memory connection is traced, the stronger the memory association will be and the more likely it will be recalled."
    2. TEACHERS
      1. All teacher do is to give commands to their students and make sure they are doing what he said.
        1. Teachers must be tolerant with students when they do not understand
      2. STUDENTS
        1. They have to listen to the teacher carefully, to understand and then perform what they have to do.
          1. They will start to say out laud what they are saying.
        2. USE OF MOTHER LANGUAGE
          1. It is used sometimes to give indications to the students, but it is better to say those instructions in the target language and use some mimics to make the students understand what the teacher want them to do.
