Resource summary
Genetic modification
Cloning is a method of reproduction that results in an identical offspring being produced
The first adult mammal to be cloned was Dolly the sheep, who was successfully cloned in 1996
She died in 2003, which came as a shock to people and presented a problem with cloning
Since Dolly the sheep, there have been many successful clones using biotechnology. Cats and dogs have both been successfully cloned
The supposed first human cloned (no evidence to prove so) is a baby called Eve, who was cloned on the 26th December 2002
