Noun as object of the preposition The object of a preposition is the noun that follows the preposition in a phrase. Example: The girls of the sixth grade put on a play. The noun "grade" is the object of the preposition "of".
Noun clause A subordinate clause that acts as a noun in a sentence. It may act as subject or object of a verb or object of a preposition.

Noun clause as object of a verb The students didn't know where the meeting was.
Noun clause as object of a preposition The teacher was pleased by how well the students were doing.
