Question Answer
Name one type of genetic diagram. Punnett squares are genetic diagrams.
What are the 23rd pair of chromosomes? They are the sex chromosomes so they decide whether you are male or female.
What alleles do males have? XY- The Y chromosome is what creates the male characteristic.
What alleles do women have? XX- The lack of Y chromosome creates female characteristics.
What percentage chance is there of having a boy? 50% chance. There is also a 50% chance of having a girl.
What causes the male reproductive system to occur? The Y chromosome creates testes and this in turn creates the male sex hormone and completely develops the male reproductive system.
What creates the female reproductive system? In females the Y protein is not produced so this creates ovaries and then in turn produces the whole of the female reproductive system.
