Question tags | The short questions at the end of a sentence. They normally occur in spoken speech and do not add much to the meaning. |

Definite article | (the), used to refer to a specific one or something which has already been referred to. Can be used with countable singular/plural and uncountable nouns. |
non-gradable adjectives | An adjective which does not have varying degrees to it. e.g. wooden or married, you cannot be a little wooden or very married |
Lexical set | An associated group of words e.g. book, ruler, pen |
A limiting adjective | Rather than describing a noun it defines it e.g. article adjectives |
The passive form | It denotes a voice of verbs in which the subject undergoes the action of the verb |
The active form | Refers to the type of verb form which requires a subject e.g. I BOUGHT a book |
Preposition | A word which typically precedes a noun, a noun phrase or pronoun. It indicates placement usuually |
Indefinite article | (a/an) It is not used for plural or uncountable nouns as it means "one" |
A gradable adjective | They have a varying degree to them like cold/ frightened. You can be a little frightened or very cold |
Mass nouns | (uncountable nouns) Refers to nouns which we cannot easily think of as consisting of separate items e.g. liquids. |
