Keller's punishment and relation to soldiers	-Punished through his death and the destruction of his family. -Play written soon after the war. Many gave their lives = moral. Keller's actions contradict this - ironic how people who suffer from Keller's mistakes are people who were willing to die in the war.
Steve and Kate	-Steve = listened to Keller so guilty. -Kate = lied for Keller.
Jim and Sue	-They knew Keller was lying, yet still accept him. -Failed their responsibility to society along with anyone else that accepted Keller. -However they are pragmatic = calmer because they didn't confront Keller.
Larry's death	-Makes Keller and Kate recognize their wider social responsibility. -Synecdoche for all pilots killed by the cylinder heads. -Keller viewed the personal benefit as outweighing the hurt done to society before finding out about Larry.
