John Robinson John Robinson (bishop) thought of God as the ground of our being rather than an objective personal force. He said that our prayers should change us do we do act. This action is an expression of love and compassion, the ground of our being.
Don Cupitt Don Cupitt - God existing as an idea within the mind of believers rather than an external objective being.
Religion Religion needed to be believed and practised in new ways.
