step : stable atom Ne	write the electron configuration 1s^2 2s^2 2p^6
step 2: stable atom Ne	place lines over each orbital s=1 line p=3 lines d=5 lines f=7 lines Image: 2.2+Ne[1] (binary/octet-stream)
step 3: stable atom Ne	fill the lines over the orbitals with arrows in opposite orders Image: 2.2+Ne[1] (binary/octet-stream)
step 1: non-stable atom F	write the electron configuration 1s^2 2s^2 2p^5
step 2: non-stable atom F	place lines over each orbital s=1 line p=3 lines d=5 lines f=7 lines
