Symbol: the handkerchief - Othello's love. - Desdemona's faith and chastity - Marital fidelity
Theme: Hell, Demons and Monsters Presents the jealousy-crazed characters as grotesque, deformed and demonic. "green eyed monster which doth mock the meat it feeds on" Othello's vision of Desdemona cheating on him is "monstrous, monstrous!"
