What is a gene? A gene is a heritable factor that consists of a length of DNA and influences a specific characteristics.
Where are genes located? A gene occupies a specific position on one type of chromosome.
What are alleles? The various forms of a gene are alleles. Example: 2 forms of the gene that influence height, one making someone tall, other making one short. These forms are called alleles
