What is a compound? | A compound is made from two or more elements that are chemically combined together. Example : Water and Carbon Dioxide. |
The Atmosphere: | The Atmosphere is a mixture of elements and compounds (N^2 and CO2) It is a mixture because different substances are not chemically combined together. The atmosphere is about 100 km thick and 3/4 of the mass is within the first 11 km. |
