Chord A line with each of its endpoints on a point on the circle
Diameter A chord that passes through the center of the circle
Secant of a circle A line that intersects a circle at exactly two points
Tangent A line that intersects a circle at exactly one point
Point of tangency Point of intersection where a line intersects a circle at exactly one point
Radius The distance from a point on the circle to the center
Central angle An angle whose vertex is the center of the circle
Inscribed angle An angle whose vertex is on the circle
Arc Any unbroken part of the circumference of a circle (named using two endpoints)
Major arc The largest arc formed by a secant and a circle (more than halfway around the circle)
Minor arc The smallest arc formed by a secant and a circle (less than halfway around the circle)
Semicircle Exactly half of a circle
