Context

Course Introduction This course covers Topic 9: RATE OF CHEMICAL CHANGE AND DYNAMIC EQUILIBRIUM which is examined on both Paper 1 and Paper 2 of the GCSE Eduqas Chemistry Course. There are three specified practicals in this topic:  SP9A Investigation into the effect of one factor on the rate of a reaction using a gas collection method  SP9B Investigation into the effect of one factor on the rate of the reaction between dilute hydrochloric acid and sodium thiosulfate  SP9C Investigation into the effect of various catalysts on the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide Only students sitting the Higher tier need to be able to predict the effect of changing reaction conditions (concentration, temperature and pressure) on equilibrium position and suggest appropriate conditions to produce a particular product
