there are many different types of software and utility for and on a computer which will be shown thought the slide show

Software

firstly there are two types of main software. these are system software and application software. system software is software like the drivers and the operating system whilst application software is just normal programs like word and internet browsers.

we will talk more about application software. there is lots of different types of software such as Bespoke, open source and off the shelf software.Bespoke software is software were a team of people make the software and is specialised in one thing but it is almost completely closed to anyone else as the source code is not given out. eg. stock control applicationopen source software is computer software with its source code given out freely with a licence in which the holder has the right to the rights study, change, and distribute the software to anyone and for any purpose. e.g. Linuxoff the shelf software is software that you can go and buy it from a shop. e.g. games like dying light

Utility

Utility software is software that helps out the computer and the user. e.g. Anti-virus, spyware, firewall are all types of software to help keep you computer safe whilst file management and disk defragmentation is designed to help speed things up.Anti-virus - protects computer from harmful viruses - Micafreespyware - stops people from finding out about your personal info such as bank details - Nortonfirewall - stops people from getting into unauthorised applications - Zonealarmfile management - provides a user interface which allows us to sort our files making it easier to navigate our computersdisk defragmentation - increases access speed by sorting files stored on a disk
