  1. Events at Gethsemane
    1. Jesus went to Garden of Gethsemane
      1. Peter, James and John went further into the garden with him

            1. Jesus prayed; Father if it is possible may this cup be taken from me, yet not my will be done, but yours
              1. Three times when he went back to the disciples he found them asleep

                    1. Peter reached for his sword and cut the ear of the servant of the High priest
                      1. Jesus healed the servants ear
                        1. Those who draw the sword will die by the sword
                          1. All the disciples deserted Jesus
                          2. Jesus before the Sanhedrin(Jewish trial)
                            1. Jesus was taken to Caiaphas, the High Priest
                              1. Two false witnesses came forward
                                1. Said; This fellow said I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days
                                2. Priest; Are you the son of God?
                                  1. Yes it is as you say
                                  2. Priest; Tore his clothes and accused him of blasphemy.
                                    1. Others attacked Jesus, spitting, punching and mocking him.
                                    2. The Roman trial
                                      1. The Jews handed Jesus over to Pilate
                                        1. Jews presented the case as political in nature
                                          1. Pilate; Are you the King of the Jews?
                                            1. Jesus; Yes it is as you say
                                            2. Pilate had no reason to charge him
                                              1. Pilate felt uneasy about sentencing a man to death without any real evidence
                                                1. Tradition to free a prisoner at Passover time
                                                  1. His wife had been told in a dream not to have anything to do with Jesus
                                                    1. The crowd chose to free Barabbas and wanted Jesus to be Crucified
                                                      1. Pilate washed his hands in front of the Crowd; I am innocent of this mans blood, it is your responsibility
                                                      2. Jesus' Resurrection
                                                        1. The stone was rolled away from the tomb
                                                          1. Angel said to women; Do not be afraid; Jesus is not here, he is risen
                                                            1. Jesus appeared to the women and said; 'Greetings'
                                                              1. The women fell at his feet and worshipped him
                                                                1. This story has been circulated among Jews today that the Disciples came and took the body during the night
