    1. Definition
      1. Simplifying Radicals
        1. Converting a square root to its simplest form.
        2. Adding and Subtracting Radicals
          1. Square roots can be added together. You cannot combine "unlike" radicals. To add radical terms together, they have to have the same radical part.
          2. Multiplying Radicals
            1. Multiply the coefficients, multiply the numbers inside the radicals, and then simplify what you have.
