Rule of 3

Eg. We care about the plants. We care about the trees. We care about the environment.
Effect on the reader: Makes the text memorable and emphasises the purpose of the text.
Emotive Language
Eg. Abandoned children found in filthy, flea infested flat.
Effect on the reader: Makes the text more memorable and effective in luring the reader on.
Statistics
Eg. 57% of women eat pancakes daily, or 8 out of 10 cats prefer Whiskers cat food.
Effect on the reader: Makes the text look authentic and sophisticated.
Rhetorical Questions.
Eg. Do you ever feel like the world is closing in on you?
